My son has been taking lessons from Mary for the past 4 years. She not only has a great program with Simply Music but takes the time to tap into the learning style of the students she is teaching. Having been a former piano teacher myself I can say that the Simply Music program and Mary's amazing abilities to teach to each individual are above and beyond what I have seen before. I consider her a great mentor to my son not only for music but for building confidence socially and academically. My 2 kids (now ages 11 and 13) have been going to Miss Mary for about 6 years. She is amazing! She is so patient, loving and warm. She motivates the kids to learn and practice. My son (11) is high energy ...but she has boys of her own and knows just what to do. She strives to give them music projects that are interesting to them (like their favorite anime theme song). Of course they learn to read music!! But they also learn to play songs immediately so they stay interested for much longer than "traditional" lessons. This isn't the boring scales practice of our childhood! They learn actual songs, playing with both hands, and using the foot pedals, from the first level. I am a big fan of the Simply Music program but an even bigger fan of Miss Mary!!  Charity B

Since our daughter began taking lessons, she is inspired and looks forward to class.  She has a passion for playing and loves to learn new songs. Our home is filled with beautiful music and we love to watch her play with such passion.  Mary not only has an amazing gift for teaching, she also cares for her students and creates a warm, supportive, and inviting environment.  We feel blessed to have her teach our daughter.  Tammy B
